Nyora is a small town situated in the heart of Gippsland’s rolling hills. The local football ground is right in middle of town and forms a focus for the town’s sporting culture, year round.
Of course, ovals need to have the right amount of water year round, particularly in summer when rainfall is sparse and unpredictable. Grow Master Landscaping was contracted by the South Gippsland Shire Council to design, supply and install an advanced irrigation system for the ground.
Outside the oval, two large water tanks feed water to the automated system of pumps and electronic valves.
The intelligent operating system is weather based, so that water delivery is precisely metered according to local factors such as rainfall and other climatic factors. The entire system can be remotely monitored and operated from any iPad or smart phone with internet connection, anywhere in the world.
